Funny Japanese smoking sign in Kyoto

While they are attention grabbing, I really wonder how much of an impact these signs actually have on the habits of smokers. They definitely speak to the subtle nature of Japanese conversation, which can at times be confusingly indirect.

This sign was spotted outside of the Kyoto Yodabashi and Kyoto Tower building.
