Snow in Tokyo is not rare, throughout the winter months on average there is up to 5mm of snow. But on Saturday 8 February 2014, 27mm (almost 1 foot) of snow was recorded in the city. Deaths, injuries and accidents spiked in the record snow fall all around the country.

However among the doom and gloom, many enjoyed snow covered sites of Japan on Sunday…
